ADAPTIVITY
Recent activity gradient. The engine, responding. Adaptivity is the proof that the chord is alive in time — that something has happened in the last hour, that the system has met new pressure with new motion. Without adaptivity, the engine would be a museum.
The Notation
Hourly volume divided by 24h baseline, halved. At 2× baseline, the gradient saturates to 1.0. At parity, it sits at 0.5.

Each principle is one vertex of the chord the Loom holds in tune. None is the engine alone; the engine is the tension between them.
